Congratulations on your new princess, Sweden!

I love all the Scandinavian countries and its people by heart more than my own country and its people. There's something in my heart that connects me to Scandinavia. To avoid overflooding people with the “asks” I get, I will from now on answer them privately unless I feel like it makes sense to share it with everybody.
Because this is a sideblog, it will not show youknowyourescandinavian when I answer privately but my own blog’s name. Just so you know it.

skyhighlimit asked: I don't get why it's weird to smile at strangers. I think it's sweet! D: And I do it often. And they smile back. I think it's nice/polite and it makes my day. Personally, if anyone had sat down at the bus next to me and spoke to me, or came up to me in the street I would be more than glad to start a conversation. But that's just me, I guess. (?)

glitterherpes asked: I've always seen the reason for us being socially reserved is because we're such small countries. We don't have 9mill cities and for Norway and Sweden specially, we're so few people spread over such large areas. We're warm and friendly to those we know but I guess one way would be to say that several generations of people living in the same bygd/island makes us somewhat...
